Installation of AirCon (compressor)

Post by TCAAIVA » Mon Nov 20, 2017 11:05 pm

We have recently "completed" on the purchase of an apartment on Las Terrazas de la Torre.

One of our many priority tasks will be to get the AirCon installed. Can anyone tell us what needs to be done for the engineer to gain access to where the compressor has to be located? We presume it's somewhere on the roof?

Yes, the external units go on the roof (in phase 1) the air conditioning pre installation is already in so you just need to fit the units and link them up. Welcome to Las Terrazas.

Thank you for your kind welcome.

When you say the pre-installation is already in, I presume you refer to the ducting etc. and not the compressor, itself.

So to gain access to the roof area for the compressor install, can the engineer do so just by going up the stairs/lift? Are there keys to access the roof on our standard set of keys (currently with our solicitor waiting for us to collect)? Do we need permission to access the area and if so, who from?

Man thanks for advice

Assuming you are Phase 1, the same key that opens the front gate opens the lock to the roof area
