Hi everyone,

There's a really nice restaurant in Torre-Pacheco called El Huerto Del Azafran. Address is Avenida Europa 7, 30700 Torre-Pacheco and telephone number +34 968 57 65 45. Website - http://www.elhuertodelazafran.com

Here is a link to reviews on Trip Advisor - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restauran ... checo.html

It's on a quiet street in the town centre and looks fairly modest from the outside but the restaurant inside is very nice and the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The service was also great and the waiter couldn't do enough for us. We went midweek late September so it was pretty quiet but they are open all year round and more than happy to accept a table at any time it seems.

Well worth a visit.

Alan

Tried out the restaurant in the newly re-opened InterContinental Hotel at La Torre.

To start a choice of breads and a lovely amuse-bouche of smoked salmon, cream cheese and caviar with a parmesan crisp. We both had salads as entrees, my better half tomatoes, capers, olives and sardines. I went for mackerel with canary potatoes. We then went for steaks for the main. Hers an entrecote well done with potatoes and peppers, me a sirloin medium with garlic mash and tempura vegetables.

Ambience was great, service good and food excellent. All in all a good experience and we will return, but probably not every night due to the UK prices. Having said that, I have had worse food and service that cost a lot more.
